Making a chair is like composing a love poem. While celebrating the space between things, curves repeat at different scales and flow together in smooth lines and facets. The chair legs appear to twist out of the ground, and the back legs to twist further off into the air. The flowing paths of the seat stream through the chair, or wind off into the distance, or flow towards us, without resting to pool into a surface, as they conjure up swirling water.
